Dear Customer,

Thank you for visiting our web store. Recently you ordered special 2 euro coin 2006 “One hundred years of universal and equal suffrage” from our web store.

It has however occurred that there was accidentally incorrect information about the quality of the special €2 coin in our web site. The special 2 euro coin 2006 we offered is circulation coin quality, in other words BU quality. The coin or coins you ordered are not then proof quality as we mistakenly told.

We are very sorry for the unfortunate mistake and we truly apologize the disadvantage this has caused to you.

We are unfortunately not able to supply proof quality coin to you because we don’t have it anymore left in our stores. We will return your money to you and you may keep the coin or coins in BU quality you have received.

Mint of Finland mints special 2 euro coins only on the basis order of Finland’s Ministry of Finance. The Ministry offers us every year a possibility to reclaim special coins. We offer these coins to our customers that are consumers and distributors. Sometimes small quantity may remain unsold and this was the case with the 2006 special 2 euro coin.

We took the special 2 euro coins into selling from our stores. We mint Finnish special coins only when Finland’s Ministry of Finance orders them from us. We can mint coins only the amount the Ministry has ordered and only during the year they are published.

We are pleased to answer any questions concerning the special 2 euro coins and our operations.

With best regards,

Mint of Finland’s Customer Service
